Chaos in Alf - Roll20

Session 28 (Samurai)

Session Recap:
After a grueling battle with a Flesh Golem and a bunch of pissed off Humes, the group found cover in an empty room, or what seemed like it at first. After resting and healing up a bit, we found two hallways, each leading to dead end rooms, one of them having another note. After moving on from there, we moved through a door while Edesia provided cover with her animated Tower Sheild, only to find many other things along the way. From a Flesh Golem diddling with his arm, to some Humes Daddling in a corner. While we inspected every nook and cranny looking for Sebastian, The Party came upon some chests, filled with gems and some scrolls or potions, depending on the chest though, but the scrolls and gems were stored into our packs for use later on. Traversing deeper into the lair, we discovered even more notes, some indicating that Sebastian was aging to the point of becoming feeble, or so we thought when the notes were read. It wasn’t until the party went up a flight of stairs to find the target: Sebastian himself. The real Saebastian this time.
As soon as the fight, if you can call it that, commenced, we took him out as swiftly as possible, though he injected himself with the stuff he usually uses, becoming a giant tentacle squid thing. Despite the new challenge, the group still was capable with taking him out in a heartbeat, with Edesia’s brute force, a White Raven Strike from Dale, and the combined attacks of Carric, Achlys, and Faurgor. Once that was taken care of, Sebastian emerges from the carcass of the giant land squid, calling upon the aid of two cloaked figures that sneaked up on Edesia in bear form. Despite the massive damage, Edesia was still standing, and ready to fight some more. After some blows were dealt, these creatures were revealed to be Mork’Amar, someone that Faurgor once knew, which angered the Dragon Shaman, and another man that looked like Faurgor himself.
Despite being old, Sebastian was capable of maneuvering in ways that’d make a highly trained monk seem jealous, flipping and dodging attacks until he was overcome by claws and swords. Mork’Amar was knocked out, told to be kept alive by Faurgor, while the other was killed when Edesia in bear form bit his head off. With Sebastian on his knees, Faurgor then delivers a death blow with his flail to his head. On his person, a key to an unknown door, and a note that revealed that he wasn’t of this plane and was warned by Sasori to not come here. That didn’t matter, for the blood debt was paid, and the party acquired a new ally. But now wasn’t the time to celebrate the victory at hand, for they had to get out. And by doing so, the acid that filled the bridge room begins to fill the entire complex, forcing the team to get the hell outta dodge. Upon hopping on the horses, they rode off into the sunset, leaving a laboratory to melt away with its memories…
Events:
Survives first encounter
Finds stuff.
Found Sebastian, and “Killed” him.
Sebastian comes back as Hentai’s #1 mascot, gets Shreked.
Two cloaked figures come to Sebastians aid after he reverts back to normal form.
Faurgor delivers the finishing blow, paying off the blood debt Dale and Faurgor owes. In a hasty search for the exit, the lair goes into self-destruct mode (typical). Got the hell outta dodge.
Notes:
FINALLY, NO ONE FUCKING DIED!

Session 27 (Stu)

Session Recap: As Told By Carric
In my search for Rhovandir, I made my way to Sababurn. Here, I met with a man by the name of Laav. He confirmed that Rhovandir was indeed one of the town rulers, and that he and his companions had left for Stobran some days ago. Just as Laav was telling me that he expected them back any day now, some of them arrived in the building. Speaking with Achlys, Dale, and Faugor I learned of my half cousin, Rhovandir’s, death. Apparently both Dale and Faugor had also died in the fight but were resurrected by an old companion, who used dark magics to bring them back. They had a blood debt to be paid and barely a week to deliver. I decided the best course of action was to take up where Rhovandir left off, after all his friends held a title over Sababurn (even if it was just a small desert village). Helping them payback their debt should grant me some favor with them.
Not long after leaving the village did we run into trouble. It seemed some cloaked figures were facing off with a bear capable of wielding a claymore. They called for our aid, so when the two lords of Sababurn moved into help them I did not hesitate. The Bear struck down two of the Cloaked People, mightily. Through combined efforts we were able to subdue it, but it shunk into an Orc Woman. She claimed that the Cloaked Ones were bandits, so we tried to end the battle there but the Cloaked Figures demanded vengeance killing her before it could be stopped. They took the sword she possessed claiming it was their, and their two fallen comrades in quite a hurry. Dale felt it would be a good idea to revive the Orc Woman as he was looking for new recruits. I complied with their wishes and we made our way North.
In a small village we revived the Orc Woman. She was very put out, demanding to know the whereabouts of her sword. When she heard that the Cloaked Figures had taken the claymore she charged out in a huff. Dale and Achlys ran off after her, the three of them causing a big scene just outside of town. Faugor ordered everyone to calm down and unhand the Lady. She gave her name, Edesia. She seemed to trust Faugor. I explained the situation of the Blood Debt to be paid, so she offered up her services in helping us all complete that mission, in return for our help in recovering her sword.
On the second day in the Human Lands we came upon the Cavern. Inside we found it turned into an underground complex, full of odd Humans. Some of my party seemed to recognize these Humans, and the Humans were very responsive to Faugor. We had almost gotten past a Flesh Golem Guard without incident when Dale and Achlys attempted to sneak past the creature. There was a short skirmish before we retreated further into the Underground Complex.
Events:
Carric joined the Party
Party helped kill Edesia
Edesia joined the Party
Gathered notes from throughout the Underground Complex
Faught a Flesh Golem and a small army of Humes

Notes:
Perhaps one day we’ll get Edesia’s sword back.

And that the body of Rhovandir was scattered in a million pieces and that remmar was not to be found being the reason they didn’t get revived as well.

Dale asked the guard escorts what they have done and only got that they ‘didnt listen to there masters’ ‘will probably be sentenced to death.

Session Recap:
After avoiding a near death experience with the help from Axl the hero. The party managed to take down Sebastian and his crew, or so they thought. Remmar cuts open Sebastian’s Morph and finds Sebastian’s body inside, Remmar then slashes Sebastian to only find that it is not Sebastian. It is Gnurl Borkul. The party regroups at the Church bringing over the body of Lyon Ryallhigh and Gnurl Borkul, the snake lady couldn’t do much for either of them. Remmar dashes off to the houses that were attacked and finds villagers that are terrified in the corner of the house, they are all frightened of Remmar. Remmar tries to reason with them and places 100g on the table, once Remmar leaves one of the children throw the money outside and shouts “We don’t want your demon money!”. Remmar speaks with the snake lady to see if he could reverse his curse of being a werewolf, it is possible but only on a full moon. During their wait Rhovandir changes a few things around the town by adding more houses and such.
When the time came Faurgor used a spell on Remmar to shrink him to lower his strength, they changed him to a chair and the snake lady began the process of removing the curse. It was a success. Remmar was cured, and was still tiny. During the small absence of the GM Remmar “bear hugged” the party while Achlys managed to escape from the hug. While the party celebrated the cure of Remmar a stranger landed next to the party who goes by the name of Gavriel.
The party all regroups on the airship after Gavriel left and noticed a town set on fire, they quickly act to go and investigate. They noticed that a great big battle had been going on and noticed a bunch of Lizardfolk around. After a battle with all the Lizardfolk was over the party advances on to the castle to see if there were any survivors. The party enters the castle to find many dead bodies of the guards and… Gavriel? The party seems confused but quickly advances forward to find out the meaning of this.
Events:
The party take out Sebastian
Achlys was introduced to the party
Town was redone (extra houses)
Remmar was cured
The town of Stobran was on fire and has been attacked
Gavriel was standing in the castle amongst a load of dead bodies

Session Recap:
Carrying on fighting the newly found life of a tentacle dragon thing the group manage to take it down without taking any casualties as Rhovandir charges in on lion back with his lance and detaches the head of the beast. As the group tried to work out what to do next Adaranth picked up the item which created the beast and left the cave. Doing as they normally do the group decides to Loot the place for anything of worth and they came across 4 different book, 1st How to train your Sand Wolf, 2nd The Names and Words of the Alchemists World Vol II 3rd The Legend of the Blue Warrior and 4th Sasori’s Tale.
After leaving the cave the party didn’t have any trouble until they came across another traveling group of ‘Hunters’ who quickly realised that remmar was a werewolf and after a little heated discussion and remmar believing that the mage of their group did something to him they all went of on there own way.
Getting back to town they find a passed out Vibi in the tavern so Remmar got the rooms in for the night and they rested. nothing much happened until the day of the commune. Once in the party recognised a lot of familiar faces of people from their past however this time the trouble caused wasn’t anything to do with the party but Axl thinking he is better than he is and starting a fight with (insert name of Adaranth’s brother here) who was a much more experienced fighter which lead to Axl’s death. However the group being kind hearted they are got the boy revived however he had short term memory lost and didn’t remember anything.
During the commune the king of the human lands spoke up, telling everyone that the elves have been attacking and that the chaos wars have returned in just under 20 years from the last one finishing. All the leaders and other invites aggressed that they should go to war and have back the human empire. Vibi did manage to get access to the leaders room at the end of the commune but quickly got bored and left before getting any valuable information.
The group being as divers as they are don’t really know where to stand in the war, as half the party are elfs they don’t want to fight them, but being stuck in the middle of Alf they know that sooner or later the war will find them.

Events:
Dragon tentacle thing dead
Adaranth got away with what he came for (as the party doesn’t know what is goals are)
Human King got the backing of other Alf leaders and agreed to war and that all wear-kin should be killed on site as the activity with the elves and the meteor destroying a villages has caused them to get provoked.

Session 22 (JiiBee)

Session Recap:

During our stay in Unterndin Remmar left to his own quest regarding the werewolves as well as his own condition, but not before leaving us a note to meet him in Wurken later. Dale rejoined us soon after. We finished what little business we had left, which included purchasing fuel for our airship as well as attempting to meet with the mystic Rhovandir had told us about. Unfortunately she seemed to have closed shop temporarily, so we decided to keep heading towards Wurken.
At the border, however, we were flagged down and denied passage, as the gate was under repairs and no one was allowed to cross it until it would be fixed. During the two day wait we saw some familiar faces as well as met new ones, one of which included an elf called Edledhron who was also headed to Wurken, so we offered him passage on our ship. He did bring along his… creation, Sicious, however.
After the repairs were done we were let to continue, and without further incidents we arrived in Wurken. While waiting for Remmar to join us we visited the merchants guild the captured elves had told us about. Thankful of our aid they offered a hefty reward as well as bargains for any trade we wished to conduct, giving us a chance to upgrade our gear.
Dale was also interested in the Hunter’s guild, from where we found a bounty that caught our attention – 22500g for the head of Green Dragon Czararra. Intrigued by the reward we decided to take on the challenge, and spent the rest of our waiting finding out what we could of the dragon until Remmar rejoined us. We also learned some information of the upcoming communion, the people supposedly going to attend as well as the day it is going to be held.
Once Remmar had joined us we prepared ourselves for the dragon hunt and headed for Czararra’s lair. We found the dragon asleep, and taking advantage of the situation initiated the fight. The green beast was a formidable foe and the battle was taxing, but in the end we emerged victorious. We took a moment to rest and recuperate while Dale harvested the creature for the wanted head, when Adaranth appeared. Before he could explain his presence, the dead dragon suddenly sprung back to life, growing a new, monstrous head as well becoming much larger. Before we could hope to gain any answers we would have to slay this beast, and with Adaranth’s aid we set to the task…

Events:

Remmar left for a solo adventure, but Dale joined us instead
Bought fuel and Dale lost his boots to the salesman
Border is closed and the group is forced to wait
Edledhron joins the party!
Shopping spree in Wurken
Gathering info and getting ready for a dragon hunt
Embarking on said dragon hunt
Slaying aforementioned dragon
During looting and resting Adaranth appears
The dead dragon becomes a large tentacledragonmonster

Session Recap: As Told By Rhovandir
So there we were, standing over the dead bodies of the Giant Sandworm and poor Erza. Supposedly halfway to the Mysterious Third Tower South of Sababurn marked on our map. Everyone looked worse for wear except for Vibi who had been able to stay out of the Sandworms reach. It took us a couple days of uninterrupted travel when we came upon the sandstone ruins of what we believed to be the tower.
Remmar spotted something within so we all readied ourselves for trouble. It was then that we heard snoring so Remmar checked it out. He told us it was a sleeping Sandwolf and puppy. Vibi and Remmar felt like it would be best to talk to it but Faugor and I felt it would be better to stay quiet. I could still hear the screams of the sandwolves being burned alive by Remmar and subsequently gunned down by Vibi. They are my family, but I do not trust them with the lives of sandwolves or captives. I moved in quietly gave orders for Remmar to help knock out the sleeping sandwolf and puppy. Remmar did not seem like this plan for some reason, for while got hold of the sandwolf the puppy jumped into Remmar’s arms as it barked at me, and Remmar refused to quiet the puppy. With the entire cavern echoing with the puppy’s yapping, sandwolves rushed to our location from the back of the ruins. I dragged the sleeping sandwolf around to the opposite side of the pillar to hide from them. Remmar and these other sandwolves started conversing in their language so I poised my bow ready to end the life of the sleeping sandwolf should Remmar not be able to salvage the situation. The tone of the conversation turned to that of an argument and it was just then that another group of sandwolves came up the left corridor, alerting the main group of the presence of Faugor, Vibi, Ruby, and I. In that moment I took some solace in knowing that the sleeping sandwolf was having a good dream; I shot him directly through his eye. We were out flanked, outnumbered, and quite possibly out matched. I had to kill him for our survival.
There were too many openings within our ranks so they were able to swarm us as we slew one after another. We had taken down over half of them but I had little faith that all of us would make it out alive. Vibi & Ruby had gone into a ditch to get some cover but were being pursued by two sandwolves. Faugor and Remmar were hurting as the Beta Male lead his forces against them. Then the Alpha Male charged me, trading blow for blow I would not stand long against such a foe . When Remmar was felled Ungarra dragged him back to the entrance and the most of us were able to follow suit, unfortunately Ruby was not able. After I healed Remmar Vibi performed the ceremony of revival upon me so when the Alpha struck me down I shed the husk from me and continued on fighting. Vibi dealt the final blow to the Alpha in retribution to the death of Ruby, though in doing so she became the main target of the last sandwolf left fighting. Sadly by the end of the fight both Vibi and Ruby had perished.
In our exploration of Den we free two captured Elf merchants that had connections with the Merchants Guild in Wurken. I also came upon the horrible discovery that Sandwolf children were in fact the puppies that littered the Den.
The rest of our journey was quiet. We returned to Sababurn to revive our fallen comrades, brought some supplies & and a message back to the now empty Sandwolf Den in hopes of coming to some sort of peace with the survivors. Then we flew the airship to Unterndin to sell all of the loot before traveling further into the East.

Events:
Attacked and killed off most of the adult Sandwolves occupying the South Tower of the Desert. Revived Ruby & Vibi. Flew off to Unterndin to sell off equipment before traveling further East.

Notes:
I’m sorry for how long this took to post. Also Rhovandir feels terrible for his part in the botched negotiations with the Sandwolves.

Session Recap:
After Vibiana and Rhovandir returned from Stobran we made a swift return there to get the rest of the supplies and soldiers needed for Sababurn. This time Remmar and I tagged along with hopes of finally gaining our marks as well. When we arrived we were asked to wait for the previous meeting to end. After a while out walked a man, deep in thought and apparently in a hurry as he was dropping supplies and notes, leaving much behind despite Remmar trying to return them to him. Vibiana tailed after him, and later told us this man might be one called Sid, an inventor from her homeland. While Rhovandir, Remmar and I were waiting another man walked out before we were allowed in the meeting room. Instead of getting our marks, however, we learned that the council was dispersed because of Thundercrash, a worldwide thunderstorm that comes every few years and was about to hit the lands in manner of days. We finished our businesses and returned to Sababurn with haste, where we made some final plans and arrangements before warning people and ushering everyone indoors to take cover from the weeklong storm.
While attempting to brave the storm in order to save the ballistas, Rhovandir noticed a large snake form swimming in the clouds, suspecting it to be at least partially to blame for the storm. In the distance he also apparently spotted a tower and wanted to investigate it, however I did not share his point of view of risking the dangerous storm because of a visage he had seen. Once the storm had ended I learned to my relief that instead of going he had stayed indoors and safe as well.
After the storm finally passed we assessed the damage both our town and airship had taken and dispensed our funds for the repairs. Now that the weather had eased up we decided to go investigate if there was anything to be found about the tower Rhovandir had noticed, but it turned out to be much further away than he had initially anticipated. During our travel we were ambushed by a group of sandwolves, and after Remmar learned of them having treasure and wanting to investigate that we managed to capture three of them. The interrogation next morning did not go exactly as planned though, resulting in one more dead sandwolf and two escaped ones.
We reached the crossroads and the nearest guard station and found it luckily hadn’t taken any critical damage from the storm, and learned that sandwolves indeed were being a bit of a nuisance but nothing too drastic. After another rest we kept moving and eventually further down the road we spotted a large hole in the sand, deeming it curious enough for us to investigate. Indeed, we found a stairwell leading down, where we found a room and met Ruby, a girl Vibiana’s age and apparently her friend from Carmenia. She told us she’d fallen in and had been there for two days, trying to figure out a puzzle written on the wall. Together, aided with the notes Ruby had already figured out and what the man in Stobran had left behind, we managed to solve the message and proceed. Inside we found a large, old complex, haunted by undead. We ventured deeper to find what the chambers held and discovered more of the same puzzles. Our exploring was cut short, however, as Remmar and I fell victim to a curse bestowed on us by the mummies infesting the place, a disease we later learned was called mummy rot. Despite our friends best efforts to get us to Sababurn and the clerics as fast as possible, we both perished on our way there, to be resurrected at the temple.

Events:
A huge thunderstorm devastates the whole world, apparently controlled by a giant snake god
Fixing town and airship after said thunderstorm
Adaranth’s brother shows up and they disappear into said thunderstorm
Going after a mysterious building Rhovandir saw during said thunderstorm
Getting attacked by sandwolves
Failing miserably at interrogating said sandwolves in order to obtain shinies
Investigating a hole in the ground and stairs leading down said hole
Ruby joined the party
Puzzles and mummies that paralyze and curse
Remmar and Faurgor died

Notes:
Ability damage is not fun. Or mummy curses.
